Let's play a game. If you are feeling blue, or are looking for meaning or a new perspective, look here. Pose a question and see if there is something I can say or have said that will help. I will also have condensed insights at www.seredipityandinsightapp.blogspot.com in case you are on the go and only have your phone. All my love in advance, ~ Alisha

Ask the Universe (e.v.)
Ask the Universe a question and you will get an answer. I started by asking for the time a few years back because I refused to wear a watch. I'd ask, be open, receptive, look, and within a few moments I'd pass a bank, or over hear it in a conversation, or see it on a walgreens sign, or glimpse a clock above a bar in a restaurant. It's not magic, but it works. If you are asking a complex question like should I get a divorce? You will likely not get a yes or no answer, but if you put it to the universe in the morning and listen you will gather more data about your situation. An amazing example of this happened to me just now. Yesterday, I was watching, "Brian Cox on a tv show called "The Wonders of the Universe". He was talking about the eventual death of our star some billions of years from now. We know there is a gap in time from when we see a shooting star and when it actually shot because the speed of light is only so fast. I wondered, "How long will it take us to know our sun has died?" One day later, I went to see the film "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close". In the openning scene the boy Oscar says, "It will take us 8 minutes to know our sun has died." That's the magic I'm talking about. Ask a question, get an answer. Start asking the universe for the time. Then be open, receptive, and it will come within a few moments. For big questions, I like to give it 24 hours. It's fun to start with a theme or a question in the morning, and see what you learn about it over the course of a day, or a week. See what themes the Universe is suggesting you notice when you see a concept given to you three times in one day in various examples.

Hi Alisha! =] I am currently nursing a yet to be identified ankle injury. It is preventing me from running. Just this evening I was sitting on the couch looking at my ankle after icing it. Well more specifically the skin. And wondering what is the injury that lies beneath the skin. Why can't I see it? Why can't I know what this problem is? I have an MRI on Tuesday. But why can't I know now? (I'm not a patient patient.) Anyway. I thought, well, maybe it's time to pull out the computer and write. Then I realized I hadn't taken a moment to read your blog. What is the first posting I read? This one. About asking the questions and waiting or looking for the answers.
ReplyDeleteI guess I asked the question and the answer I got was another question. Funny how life works out. I'm not sure after reading your blog if I have asked the question in the right way. But it does give me pause to figure out 'how' to ask about my ankle and why I am sidelined at the moment. I look forward to reading more thoughts and words from you. Take care.

What fun! We're playing! If I may....?
DeleteYou have asked so many good questions in your post, the kind the universe loves to respond to. There's not an incorrect way to ask, and you've provided so much for the universe to play with!!! ; )
I'd look for data (a response)on the following:
What's preventing you?
What's got you on the sidelines?
How does being sidelined serve you?
Someting unidentified is holding you back, what is it?
Is it only skin deep?
Why must we wait?
What is the injury that lies beneath?
Why can't I see it?
Why can't I know now?
These are the questions that get me going! If any resonate with you particularly today, set it to the universe and see what comes up. What fun? I love this game. We can learn so much when we ask. I spent this whole morning writing on the power of asking questions. It creates space for you in the world, and can change the power dynamic in the room. So, I love getting your note about asking questions today.
Be well my friend,
~Alisha
